Mercedes GLA 250 4Matic

Hi!
Looking for what others have been getting for numbers regarding 2021 mercedes GLA 250 4Matic. I am in NH so don’t have tax. So far, best deal I have been offered is:
2021 Mercedes GLA 250 4Matic demo
MSRP: 42,875
Terms: 39month/15k
DAS: 2,200
Monthly: $399
Zip code: 03431

Feel like I can do better…

What is your pre-incentive discount? Have you checked rv/mf/incentives? How does this offer compare to your target deal based on the current lease programs and target pre-incentive discount from researched comparable deals and broker offers?

Very few incentives on the the GLA right now and the month just turned over. Have you looked into MSDs? An effective payment of ~$460 seems pretty good to me, for this vehicle, at 15K miles a year.

For a minimally equipped subcompact?

You cut out the part where I said “for this vehicle.”

But, I really like my GLA250, so even without the clarification, we disagree on this one

Tough to know what people mean when they say “this vehicle”… some people get really swayed by the badge and overlook the poor value proposition, like the LR Disco thread the other day:

Q: why do you want to pay this much for this vehicle?

A: because it’s a luxury suv

FYI- Mercedes increased the fleet incentive on the 2021 GLA to $1250 in January.

How does this sound?
Mercedes GLA 250 4MATIC
MRSP: 40,605
Selling Price: 38,205
Lease terms: 36m/15k
Drive off: $900
Monthly: $433/mo

Note- I have fleet incentive and live in tax-free NH. How does this look?

It is practically impossible for us to tell you what a “good” monthly payment is for your specific lease as lease programs are highly dependent on region, personal qualifications, tax rates, etc.

We always recommend the following method before you ever contact a dealership. If you do all of the work up front, you’ll have a stress free dealer experience and set yourself for success.

  1. Read Leasing 101 to understand how to calculate a lease payment and the variables. Monthly payment is an output, not an input!!
  2. Pick a specific vehicle that you want to target
  3. Gather the current MF, RV and incentives from Edmunds forums for your zip code
  4. Research the LH marketplace and other deals that have been made recently on your vehicle - what was their pre-incentive discount? How did their lease terms differ?
  5. Plug your numbers into the LH calculator, and use a pre-incentive discount similar to what you have seen
  6. Create a target deal, this is what you’re trying to negotiate to. You can try different terms, selling price discount, etc. and see how your monthly payment is affected. It is also possible that different trims of your vehicle may have different MF and RV (i.e. this is very common with GM), so make sure that you look into that. Come up with a set of inputs that give you the output that you want - your desired monthly payment.

With a target price determined, you now have a deal to pursue and compare dealer offers against. More importantly, you have a solid foundation to work from.
