Mercedes G-Wagen EV discussion

I took one for the team and went to Mercedes of Henderson in Vegas. You guys ready? $3,995 per month for 36 months. And that’s with the silly $7,500 from the feds and a slight discount from the dealer. LOL

Holy money factor Batman! Alternatively you can do a one-pay for $140k and lower the effective monthly cost all they way down to $3,907 hahaha

I’d rather **** myself with a stick LOL

I just signed a 2024 Audi Q8 etron for $29k one-pay all-in for 36/7.5k. Honestly, interior and drive-wise it’s nicer than the G EV.

Payload on the G EV is 760 lbs! So if you put 4 x 200 lbs dudes, you’re just asking for some injury lawyer to sue you after a fender bender. Crazy.

Did you just compared Q8 etron with G wagon ?

Start greasing that stick. The payload is actually 915 lbs - plenty for 5 Kardashians and their shopping. And comparing q8 to this is rather absurd. Might as well compare Ioniq 5 to the EQS… wait, some geniuses have already done that too.

Well, if you still need more payload, here ya go

Yes, as in, those are two heavy cars that could both do what I need to do - drive around Vegas.

hahahha indeed. but you’re googling, and I’m looking at door jambs  the difference is the options. they take away from the payload.

Dropping my eqb for inspection n checking this G-wagon

“G580 is a complete flop….”

When will these be discounted sub 1000’s? $7500 ev credit is going away which will make it even more difficult

I give it 1 year before we see the first unicorn pop up on here. Probably will be a short bubble rather than a steady common deal like on EQS.

I know I’ll be there with my pen at that time

New for August is a stackable $15,000 cash rebate for BofA PB/Diamond tier clients. These could be interesting soon…

One of my local stores still hasn’t sold a single one. Four launch cars still for sale…

Edit: confirming it is stackable. Heard differing opinions.

once they hit 1k im ready we have seen 150k+ EQS for under $650

I’m sure once they break the $1k people on the fence will be lining up for these!

I’d take one for 1k all day

You and me both! I got a MB lease up in Feb so maybe the timing will be right….time will tell!

Wondering how much the insurance will be for this?

I’m a little interested, but I honestly think that’s still too high.

Real world range of 150 is an abomination. If it’s like my Sunday car, I think id rather a decently equipped Taycan, an SL43, CPO 911, or 8 coupe in the same ballpark.

I’m looking end of Sept, so it’s not really an option anyways for me as I don’t think we’re firesale yet.

:joy:

48 months. I wouldn’t buy one for $96k, yet alone lease and hand it back.

But it’s the moment everyone has been waiting for.

I think if it ever dips below 800, I would be in. I agree, the range is a real killer.
