Mercedes CLA250 Lease Quote Assistance

Hi all, I am looking to lease a CLA250 for my wife, term is 36/12k miles. I was hoping someone could help analyze the following deal. Thank you in advance!

We were quoted the following:

MSRP - $41,625 (includes $950 destination charge is that legit or some negotiable?)
Discount - $4,275
Residual - 57%
MF - .00089 (buy rate is .00069 but claims they have 20 bps minimum)

Drive Off - $2,294 includes the following:
First Month - $466.34
Upfront tax - $91.45
Title - $557
Acquisition fee - $1095
Doc - $85

It seems like a pretty good deal for SoCal with the discount being offered but not sure if I can get the MF down. I told them the MF is .00069 in our area and they said that’s their buy rate and finance dept requires minimum of 20 bps above that. Additionally, they have $950 destination charge which added to the MSRP and the $557 title seems high. Lastly, Any advice would be appreciated.

**We might change to 10k miles because we can likely get away with that now she’s working from hom. Curious how much that will change the price. I’m assuming it’ll increase the residual 1-2% and that’s where the savings comes in?

Thank you.

The $995 that’s displaced in the window sticker is standard on all CLA 250. If they are charging an additional $995 it’s BS & you shouldn’t pay it

In regards to the the points they are trying to make for back end is kind of like they are twisting your arm. If you want I can run a quote for you, we would sell you the car at sell rate. Might end up coming cheaper shipping it from here. Only thing is we only have AWD we don’t carry FWD

If it ends up working out I can try to use a few of our dealers from CA.

Let me know either way, would love to help

I sent you a message regarding your quote. I will love to help you

Effectively $500+ is way too much for a CLA

This above numbers come to $464 with tax (7.75%). Im trying to get to $425 so need the sales price lowered $1k and MF at .00069 which is the going rate in the area vs the .00089 they are trying to charge me.

And the $2,294 DAS?

Yes. Includes the following.

First Month - $466.34
Upfront tax - $91.45
Title - $557
Acquisition fee - $1095
Doc - $85

Do you understand what the effective payment is?

Do I divide the drive off $ by 36 and add that to the total? If so, $527?

Total drive-off including first month
Plus monthly payment * 35

Divide that sum by 36

@smitty365 please considering workIn with @Calvin.MB, I can’t recommend him more for SoCal MB. He’s very straight forward and has competitive pricing.

Total drive off of $2294 included first month payment. Breakdown is below. What are you coming up with for an effective rate and what is the range of a good to bad effective rate for CLA250?
First Month - $466.34
Upfront tax - $91.45
Title - $557
Acquisition fee - $1095
Doc - $85

The effective rate is the what the monthly payment would be with a zero drive-off. So your $466mo with $2294 DAS is effectively the same as $526mo with $0 DAS. Unless you like giving dealerships cash upfront, it’s usually more beneficial to keep that cash in your pocket and finance all costs into a zero drive-off.

As for the deal itself, you are only getting a 10% discount and don’t indicate if any incentives are being applied. This is pretty poor for a CLA, I would ask for 12% pre-incentive and you should be able to find at least $2000 in incentives on this model. I would be less concened w/ the MF because it can be paid down with MSDs if the rest of the deal is good.

Just work with @Calvin.MB and you’l be fine.
What incentives are on the CLA? Im gonna assume not much. Dealer discount is ok but you are loosing 1% discount because of the bumped MF.
Overall, its more on the expensive side but the car doesn’t lease well in the first place.

That’s actually a big assumption

There are 0 incentives unless you qualify for fleet and have loyalty.
