Mercedes C300 4matic Custom Build, Can Price Be Negotiated?

Hi there, this is my first post! I was wondering if there is typically significant room to negotiate selling price on a custom build? I’m wanting a C300 4Matic with premium 2, heated/ventilated seats/steering wheel, and the airmatic suspension. This is virtually impossible to find in current inventory (especially the airmatic) considering I’m in the south (Al, not too far from the US MB plant!).

MSRP on the build is $50,065
Using the LH calculator for a ~$400/month payment I’d need:
12% off MSRP --> $44,000 + $2k Fleet discount (AMA) --> $42,000

  • max MSDs and autopay

Do you guys think that kind of discount (12% pre-fleet), or more, is possible on a custom build?

bump! Anyone have experience with this issue?

I don’t know what’s possible in your neck of the woods. Throw a wide net and ask as many dealers as you can.

Many dealers aren’t willing to negotiate on custom builds because you’re not taking one of their preexisting cars off their lot.

That makes no sense and isn’t even remotely true.

Most stores will net out a custom order since it’s a sold unit and they can pin the sales date down.

I agree with Benedetto. Search the posting and you will see someone negotiated on custom ordered BMW. True the price will always be higher than an in-stock loaner but in this day and age, you can negotiate a prenup with your soon to be spouse, so why not a custom order :slight_smile:

Goodluck. Its extra work that the lazy dealers in jersey will not want to do.

Like the wrangler I’ve got ordered for double net @ Flemington CDJR?

If it has a price tag, it can be negotiated.

5-8% off MSRP for a custom build. Anything above that is usually amazing.

Sometimes you can find someone who has cancelled their deposit and the build in progress is changeable still (you can leverage that a ton to your advantage)
