Hi,
I have been trying to buy a Mercedes C300. I am located in Austin, texas United States.
My dealer said that since i am not a U.S Citizen therefore i would have to pay 25% of M.S.R.P as downpayment.
Has anybody heard about this?
Please find attached the quotes given to me by the dealer.
Can I negotiate more on the Money-Factor?
If anything seems wrong to you guys, please let me know?
Any down payment is not good to do, but this case is different. OP should contact a different dealer and if they say the exact same thing, then maybe it really is true and is a MBFS requirement for non-citizens.
There is no way to go around this rule of 25% with a new car lease. In your case, I would advise buying a used C300. They sell for 20k used, in great condition.
Or you can get a cosigner. But in this case, this deal is so horrible that I would say cosigner or not, 25% or not, walk away Because they have not only asked you for 25% down but also jacked up the MF due to risk premium of “non-resident aliens”
70k Hyundai Luxury Sports Sedan billing itself as competitor to BMW 5-series and E-class is lots of false advertising lol Some of the words above should never be in the same sentence
it’s a damn fair comparison to the lexus and mercedes and bmw. especially with these new c and e classes which look beautiful inside but feel cheap. yes the s class is in a world all in its one where it belongs as the greatest luxury sedan. the g90 goes very well with the current LS and the g80 with the 5 is a good comparison.
