I am not getting the logic of the 13-month lease program. Because they want you to pay for the next year’s registration (by the 12th month) before returning it? Is it possible/easy to extend Mercedes’ lease for 6-12 months? I used to lease BMW and they are not very generous in lease extension (2-6 months)
The bank doesn’t care about the registration.
13 month just had a higher RV and thus lower payment.

There are maybe 2-3 states where the annual reg is material to the lease cost, and MBFS doesn’t care.
Thanks for the replies. Then why wouldn’t they do a 12-month lease instead? From customer perspective, we have to pay another registration for that extra month, so apparently it is not as appealing as a 12-month term.
This is a much bigger issue in California than in other states where registration is handled differently

And frankly, even if they did, it might have the same RV as 13-mo in which case it would be pointless.
Kind of like when TFS offers 39-mo for same RV as 36-mo. You’d have nothing to lose by just going 39 at that point.
MB’s 30 and 36 is the same for some vehicles.
