Sure, but that only covers insurance.

Lol won’t catch me dead in an EV. Glad to hear Benz woke up though. Can’t wait for @holeydonut to find me a 2026 C63 to hack

144 replies later are you any closer than you were on the date the topic started?

Have you found a year, model and trim to target and defined your valuation goals?

Or do you want to keep wasting time with back & forth with other people who want to waste time?

Just contact @oarfish18 . She’ll have dozens to choose from.

You’ve been away a long time, they didn’t go up there and tell ya…this is an off ramp topic. Does it really matter? The title is MB V8s as its been from the beginning

My bad I was under the impression you actually wanted to buy a car with a Mercedes V8

Yes I do, but this isn’t something I’m rushing to do. At least we stayed on topic and are having a chill conversation about V8s

Welcome to 3 days ago, I already posted that in the thread where a guy was proudly hunting an IONIQ5N.

I still think EVs are trash to own and a V8 Domestic is better. @theduke is the domestic guy and I think he agrees.

I don’t think any of them are good to own, at least not to your wallet.

Just wait until your hair turns grey. You’ll either get stuck wanting to wear jorts while driving a Porsche or a Vette. It’s genetic.

Nah, I got it out of the system early (I think/hope). I had a bunch of turbocharged cars back in the 90s, some lightly modified, nothing too crazy like in that ricer mag I used to get along with MT, C&D, AutoWeek, etc. My last one was a 1990 Mazda RX-7 Turbo II which my still wife mistook for a Porsche, lol. I was totally broke, brand new to the country, going to college working multiple jobs, but wheeled and dealt my way into much cooler cars than I should’ve had.

At this point, my grey beard would likely protest anything resembling 911 hopping and bouncing over LA’s potholed roads.

I was at a track day few months ago at COTA. Someone had an Ioniq 5N there on the last day. He was using 6-7% battery per lap. Using close to 70% battery per 30min session. He missed some sessions to go charge offsite.

You know you would take a 911 GT3 if it was $50k.

And enjoy for however long it would take to flip it, lol1
