Can MSDs be paid by credit card? Would love to get the points and then pay off immediately.
Tried to use my cc when I paid for my MSD. Finance manager said they can only take cheque or cash for it. They did let me use my cc for all the other fees.

It all depends on the dealer. Whether they are willing to eat the ~3% charge in order to close the deal.
I paid 10 MSD by CC over the phone to a MB dealer 2 days later because he forgot to take them at signing. Bizarre but true story.
Dealers are not suppose to take CC for an MSD, however many don’t follow that and instead have a max allowed amount for a CC, even if it’s a Mercedes benz credit card.
It just can’t go above 5k
I echo this. I used two credit cards (one at 5K, one at 1K) to pay my 9 MSD’s, fees, then did a 0% balance transfer on each credit card to “pay them off” over 18 months w/ no interest.
I paid my MSDs by cc so I could get the cashback of 1.5%. Paid it off the next week to avoid any interest and made $75 on the deal.
And if you paid them on a MB Platinum Amex it would be 5% in Amex points on the purchase - that would be nice. Plus get you close to earning another silver star voucher.

Like the way you think! Yeah that exactly what I did; I called Amex and converted to the MB Plat. Then used my current card before the new one came in and it still got the 5x points.
