Just wanted to share the experience i had with MBF. My lease was due august 4th. I sold the csr to ALgo and they paid it off. Mbfs received they payoff check and soon my account was closed. They told me i will recive my MSDs 10 to 14 days after they receive the payoff. Now almost 2 months in i still did not get my MSDs back. Spoke a dozen times with different people that promised the check is sent or will be sent immediately. That was a lie. Last time i spoke to one of the managers or supervisors that told me she will expedite this and apologized like 48274 times. And you guessed it. Nothing. Will probably have to take them to small claims court to get my msds back. If anyone has any advice on how to go about it please share.
Contact the consumer protection or similarly named division of the attorney general’s office in your state.

Did the payoff include the MSDs?. Audi includes the MSDs in the payoff. Can you post a screenshot of your payoff.
I think the msds were applied to the payoff which is why it is showing overpaid as 4500

MBFS is Salty, I sold my Lease to Algo as well and took forever for MBFS to send title to them/
Call back and tell them they can forget the MSDs. You’re willing to waive them if they just pay you the $4500 overage on the account.
I say this tongue-in-cheek of course. But also, not joking, I’m banking on them constantly putting in for refund of your MSDs, which is showing as zero, rather than refund of the overage.
Spoke to them again. The msds were not applied to the payoff as it was a third party dealer buying it out. I was told that actually MBFS does not really know how to refund mads as they usually use this money to apply toward wear and tear. So even if you return the car as good as new there are chances you wllbe charged. So at this point i think mads do not really make that much sense
Sounds like you had a confused rep on the phone.
I turned a Benz in off lease in April & MBFS refunded my MSDs in about 2 weeks in full.

I sold my MB lease in beginning of August and I just got $6k MSDs back after 6 weeks of waiting. I had to call them multiple times. Basically your 3rd party payoff resulted in overpayment which you posted earlier. You need to request refund of this overpayment back to you. In my 3rd call, the CSR initiated a refund of the overpayment which was sent (after 3 weeks) through FedEx to the address on file. MBFS is the worse leasing financial service that I’ve dealt with so far. Good luck!
I wish it was a confused rep but it was actually one of the supervisors from whatever department . She told me that it does not usually happen for them to refund msds.
