If leasing a Mercedes Benz EQE, would you recommend getting their maintenance service or not? They make it sound like if you don’t do the maintenance, and you run into issues, Mercedes may void the warranty. Not sure if that’s a scare tactic or actually worth it. Something to do with the battery pods and filters and what not.
Also of all the other offering the F&I person throws at you, any really worth buying or at least considering?
What standard maintenance is required over the length of the lease you are looking at and how does the a la carte cost of what will be needed compare to the cost of the maintenance plan?
All EQS included maintence, let me check for EQE

Damn did the F&I guy bamboozle me and tell me it’s not included and told me I should buy it or if I run into battery issues ever the warranty may be voided due to the lack of maintenance? I think I can still cancel. But I couldn’t buy it after the fact. So walked out with it. But now I feel like I got played.
That does say battery issues could not be covered due to lack of maintenance… of course, theyd need to prove that the maintenance not performed actuslly caused a battery issue to deny it for that.
Yeah magnusson moss. If look in the service schedule it’s all filters and ‘visual inspections’ iirc

I mean in my experience and @Kellstar, stuff has broken (under warranty ofc). His is ticking towards the 30 day mark, and mine is probably in the two week area just from recalls, and the idiotic fact they require connection to a random central server to do updates

The maintenance stuff is still confusing me. Perhaps the best course of action is call the dealership and ask them what the maintenance schedule is for 3 years, what it entails and how much each service costs.
Where there any additional services they offered you would recommend purchasing? Tires and wheels coverage? Rotors and brakes replacement? Paint protection? Something else?
Is the maintenance included with every EQS lease?
I emailed the GM and Finance Director to get clarification as the Service Manager told me the maintenance is every 2 years/20K miles and the 1st one is covered. So I just got a call from the F&I guy and he will be refunding me for the maintenance package. He was not familiar with the EVs maintenance plans, no biggie everyone is learning. But he did issue me a refund which is good.
So, as per the dealership I leased the car from, I get the 1st maintenance for free at 20K miles. I’ll return my lease before 40K miles.
You caught him with his hand down your pants, so of COURSE he issues a refund…lol
I swear I was not lucid dreaming about eqe maintenance, I just couldn’t remember where I saw it. Thank you for informing me.
Only thing I’ll add is, the folks working F&I are usually the top salespeople in the dealership. That’s how they get their job 
and the EQ has been on sale for long enough now.

That’s why you leasehack and ask. Someone here told me to inquire further and check the pricing. I thought scare tactics were more so at non high end dealerships. I guess not lol
