You’re halfway there. Some sort of electrical issue and the whole care needs powered down lol so they sent me off in a 2024 EQS 450 which is a step up from what they typically give me here.

I’m sure there are lots of other MBZs there, their reliability sucks across the board. Not sure what’s your beef with the EQS. Wasn’t yours relatively trouble free unlike your i4? And BTW what did you get to replace your EQS?
My EQS was great until they did some stupid recall/campaign on it and updated the computer.
From that point on, it’d just randomly “beeeeeeeeppppp” while driving below 20 mph as if it were telling me I was about to collide with something.
Like I’d be in a McDonald’s drive through and it’d slam the brakes to avoid a collision with nothing. Or I’d be going through an intersection making a left-turn and it’d slam the brakes wanting to avoid hitting an imaginary object.
Got so bad my wife was like “don’t let the kids in this shitbox ever again”.
I still have the i4… but it’s definitely got its own problems. Z0lt3c just landfilled my gripes… or put them somewhere I can’t find haha. EVs suck. that’s why I’m trying so hard to get folks into ICE. ICE is awesome.
PS, I’m a dumbass that had two matching red Teslas as recently as 2022. I have 2 EVSE’s in my garage and 3 Powerwalls. Roof full of solar intended to charge EVs. But I’ve wised up. EV = lame/cheap/hair-dryer appliance that is meant to be disposable. It’s not a good car.
Well, I concur that EVs are worse off on average compared to ICE cars. Having said that, MBZ reliability has been in free fall for years, so don’t expect their ICE vehicles to be drastically better unless simpler/older models. Have you seen the article I linked the other day about MBZ CFO gushing about continuing cost cutting? Well, those are side effects!
BTW, your beeping problem sounds like a botched update. Could be either that your car didn’t take it or the dealer botched it. Regardless, the dealer is at least partially at fault here since they released it to you as is.

I’m turning in my EQS tomorrow to get into another one. I’ve done the autovin inspection. There’s $383 in normal wear charges, 1136 in excess wear, and 350 for chargeable diagnosis. I’m hoping to get these charges waives combined with the $500 fee waiver.
I’ve tried calling MBFS to discuss lease end but because the lease is more than 90d left, they refuse to speak with me. Only once my vehicle is grounded and turned in, then I can call First Class. Is this what everyone’s experience is like for requesting charge/fee waivers?
Curious about this too. What is the $500 fee waiver? Is that something standard or common practice if you get into a new lease?
