Mercedes Benz EQS Lease Superthread - 2

I am going to try and reach out to some dealers today because I need to lease a 3 row SUV for my nanny. Given the incentives have changed, could someone tell me what all the current incentives are? Edmunds says there’s $5000 dealer cash. AmEx truecar site says there’s potentially $5500 from them (but i’d need to apply to be an Amex holder?) and I guess there’s the EV $7500 lease credit from the EV tax credit. Am I missing anything? Can the dealer credit and AmEx stack?

And do nobody else’s kids get super barfy if there isn’t air blowing in their faces? We test drove the Sorento PHEV and the lack of third row HVAC was an absolute deal killer for the kids. The shitty unresponsive way it drove was a deal killer for me.

They don’t stack, you either get $5k dealer cash or $5.5k Amex fleet. The EV lease credit stack onto those dealer/amex fleet.

After contacting 15 dealers, I finally realized this is true :joy: I was demanding both!

What are the $18k rebates. Im only aware of the $7500 ev lease credit and the $5k dealer cash OR $5.5k Amex (that apparently dont stack). So where did you get the extra $5k rebate

EQE has $5.5k Amex; EQS has $10.5k

Why EQC did come to US market?

Any recommendations for EV’s with really strong AC unit? My EQE even with ceramic tint is barely keeping up with the Texas summer.

I’ve got a service appointment scheduled this week for my EQE because it blows hot air anytime it’s 85 or warmer outside if the car has been in use for more than half an hour. It’s not even a matter of keeping up to combat the heat — it just straight up blows hot air into the car after 30 minutes of operation in hot weather. It’s like the AC can’t handle the load and just completely goes out.

My Bolt stays ice cold on the highway at 95…

A post was merged into an existing topic: Off-Topic Landfill 6

IIRC Mercedes wanted to test the waters on whether or not the right approach was a bespoke EV platform (EQS/E) or to modify an existing platform to provide both ICE and EV configurations (EQB). BMW did the same approach with the bespoke iX and the flex approach i4/i7. But they smartly kept their business cases a bit more reasonable and dialed down the production volume targets compared to MB.

It turns out for the USA market, the right approach should have been to just farm out EV development to someone else and slap badge engineering on sub-par vehicles. EV was destined to be a massive-billions-of-euros-wasted endeavor no matter how they spun it, and now they’re back-tracking by keeping ICE plans intact longer.

EQC may still show up here stateside… but it’s unlikely.

EQS annoying feature I need to turn off. YouTube hasn’t given me the fix:

When the passenger seat is empty, and it’s night, when I reach over past the armrest, the passenger map light turns on. How do I shut this? Interior Motion Sensor didn’t do it.

You have to do deep into the menu/settings and disable all “intelligent assistance” or “gesture control” (I can’t remember what it’s called in the menu)

It’s daytime now, but I just shut off the intelligent assist for the front. We’ll see if that does the trick.

Looks like my AC is acting up again and it’s only been 2-3 weeks since they replaced the blower. Air blow was changing on its own today and it was not set to auto.

My AC broke, HV battery, all assistance systems, and the infotainment died

Fortunately this has been our only issue :crossed_fingers: but it’s annoying with 2 young kids in summer and our only car at the moment. I was trying to get another one and wife has killed idea of any more EVs for now.

Glad Mercedes is wising up and walking back the race to the bottom junk EV disaster zone.

@z0lt3c will hopefully go back to ICE too.

Programs continue to be the same for July. Not sure about fleet, but MF, 7,500 + 10,000 dealer cash incentives, and RV stays the same.
