Agreed, for a 400v architecture the EQS charging curve is great! I started charging with 10% battery next to a Rivian R1S that was pulling ~85kWh at 49% charge and beat him to 70% (peaked at 207kWh between 20-30%). We were both on 350kWh EA chargers. It definitely felt like something was wrong with his Rivian or the handshake between the charger and vehicle.
charging curve. Also the battery size and efficiency. Everyone loves to hate on them, but they really are great EVs.
Did someone found how to leave it on even after the driver door is open?
First issue with my EQE started today… head up display inoperative message. Tried telling “hey Mercedes” to turn it off/on which worked once before now didn’t work. Have to bring it in to the shop again at 1200 miles.
The 2024 order guide lists 883 soft close doors as an option, but I’ve looked through 20+ different units for sale and none have it. Makes me wonder if it even exists.
So far I’ve only driven my EQE 6 times. However on my most recent drive this week, I sat down and it immediately told me there had been a collision on the rear driver side bumper a few days prior. Od course, the car took a litany of photos at the time of “collision” and… you guessed it — there was nothing but some nice photos of the walls of my garage .
Drives just fine, though. I guess the moral of the story is to not let your EQ car sit for more than a week or two without turning her on and giving her a few nice words of affirmation. Otherwise if a fly lands on the bumper, the car will record a collision.
Anyone know if the MIB is taxable?
MIB stands for Mercedes Incentive Bonus. So I believe most interpretation of guidelines would conclude MIB is a reduction of the price of the product, rather than a taxable (customer cash) incentive.
thanks! Yes I see most dealer just roll it into MSRP reduction so im thinking it’s non taxable as well.
It can be, if you live in a state where incentives are taxed
Mine slams to a stop when backing up the driveway on occasion. Have to drive super slow to avoid. Not sure what it’s seeing.
This is seriously not cool. BMW’s park assist works well 100% of the time…
What are they doing in Stuttgart? The folks in Munich seem way ahead. Except for the design… BMW grilles are nasty.
Does BMW have this sort of thing at all, parking intervention ? If you slowly drive into an obstacle, when parking for example, will it cut power and or slam on the brake. I know BMWs do cross traffic intervention as well as general collision avoidance, but I don’t think they do this when parking, they just beep at you.
They do have parking intervention. I have to steer to avoid the left side of the garage door while reversing out of the garage, and in my almost 3 years of ownership, it’s only suddenly braked on me twice. I have the parking assistance package
Yeah, I just looked in iDrive menus and this is under Active PDC with braking intervention. Never ever had it do this to me when parking. EQS have done this a few times in just over a year. What Stuttgart doing ?
Bmw has a function called auto reverse or something like that where it remembers the last 100 ft you drove and will back out the same way with one button press. Sounds stupid but my garage is one left turn at the end of a fifty ft driveway, and it’s nice to get in the car, hit auto reverse, buckle my seatbelt while the car backs out of the garage on to the drive way and out on to the street without me needing to touch the steering wheel. I don’t imagine the merc has something similar?
Has anyone’s HVAC or AC stopped working and not come back on even after restarting the car? First hot day of the year and got stuck with no AC with kids in the car.
Are these the current incentives for the 2023 EQS sedan:
$11,000 fleet with Sams Club
$7500 EV credit
Anything else in CA? Thanks
Yeah, those are the incentives for may.
Anyone know if lease support ends in May for 2023 EQS or is extended to next month? Thx.
