My 2022 EQS has finally been lemoned and surrendered. Mercedes hands off handing buybacks to a third party(Sedgwick), everything was done by the book and didn’t get anything more than the legal minimum in New York. Basically the whole lease was “free” except for penalty of miles over 13000.
Car went through a full HV battery replacement that cost about $80k according to the documents from the dealership. That alone took 60 days putting me well above the requirement for a lemon. Mercedes was an absolute pain to deal with after the lawyer started the process since they kept blaming the “cyber attacks” on not getting the numbers to us.

Manufacturer review equest was submitted to MB on June 24th

The repurchase offer was send to me on September 27th

Car was surrendered and I got the check yesterday on October 30th.
