In my experience Texas MB dealers suuuuuuckk deal wise. You have to shop around
Same here, I am working on a similar deal on a 580 36/10 for 721 a month.
Not yet thankfully on replacements. I drive my car strictly on strong regen with one foot driving but have noticed a lot of brake dust on wheels which leads me suspect mechanical brakes are being used too.
Just found the key tag that came with my lemon-ed EQS SUV key fobs. It seems to have come from Mercedes Benz of Plano originally. Might have been sitting on their lot for a long time…
These have blended brakes, unlike Tesla. Doesn’t matter what regen setting you use. Even in no-regen, when you push brakes pedal, it will use regen before applying friction brakes. Doesn’t mean it never ever uses friction, but I don’t think you need to worry about any early wear.
One I got from Walnut Creek came from New Orleans originally and sat there for a year. Had some rattles that my local dealer fixed. Otherwise, so far so good.
lol every monroney from March madness sales will say MB Plano.
Just curious, are you guys finding the loaners on the sites? Or just emailing around to find one? I’ve yet to see any EQS loaners in any dealers inventory in the state.
MB Plano cracks me up. They won’t negotiate on the '23’s they still have available in their inventory. Apparently they “aren’t in a hurry” to get rid of them. They’d rather stealer trade them or turn them into service loaners.
I really don’t understand their business model. On their website, they like to rave about how they have the largest inventory in the country…
I’ve found them by looking for mostly CPO preowned with less then 10K miles, checking Carfax for any title, and then asking if available for lease.
Loaners will usually have a corporate fleet title I think so keep that in mind
Can you share some details? What does that mean exactly, I am looking at a loaner right now.
If you go on carfax some might have no owners at all or corporate fleet title.
That is the whole point. They are just putting the EQs on their loaner fleet to make the customer think that this can be his or her next vehicle.
It’s surprising they can trust A/C-Class owners with cars near or higher than 3 digits. Must be really desperate.
Darn, your are right. When I calculate using LH, the total monthly price difference at the end of 24 months is $5904 @ 15K mile/12m lease vs $3750 @ 7.5K miles/12m with penalty 0.25c for the extra 15K miles, so about .20 vs .34c). I’m guessing it’s because the penalty of 0.25 is not adjusted correctly with the residual? My second lease and I’m still learning a lot!
Anyone know how long EQS’ are usually in the loaner fleet before they go on sale? The Tampa dealer posts a car on their website and then when I inquire about it they say its in the loaner fleet so it cant be sold.
Not a dealer but i think once a car is tagged as a loaner, it has to be in that program for 90 days (cant sell it)
Did anyone use qmerit (the one mercedes recommends) for the wall box installation? Curious how their pricing is. Theres like a 7 page questionnaire to fill out before you can get a quote and i have no desire to do that if they stink.
