Much as I dig that E, for the same coin I’d pick a Porsche all. Day. Long.

I agree, too bad a panamera turbo pushes $2k+ lol. Not a fan of the old panamera rear but the new one fixed that issue.

When I put the Vin into the penfed calculator the RV came back at $34,575.00
Also the msrp showed up at $84,765.00

Hey I’m no desktop support guy for PenFed.

So skip the VIN and just input the numbers manually?

Lol yea I was just showing what it showed me for general info in case it was helpful.

This is what I got from penfed :slightly_smiling_face:

Not sure either. Had to look this term up “rent charge”

That residual looks way too low.

If you are referring to the PenFed residual, they don’t inflate them like the captives do. They’re a bit more realistic.

Had to create a second account to post this.

Waiting for feedback on the Edmunds forum to post here. I also asked the dealer.

At this dealer it seems like a straight discount of $10k+

Here are the dealer details regarding the lease:
Cash sale price: $79,000
Vehicle MSRP: $89,795
Total/Adjusted cap cost: $79,000
MF: 0.00233 (correct missing zero)
Res. Factor: 53%
RV: $47,591.35
Customer cash: $6,458.67

Lease payment: $1,167.42
Term: 36 months

Here are more details on the build:

MF almost has to be a typo. Need another zero, I think. But even so it’s crazy high, combined with a terrible RV, making it nigh impossible to get a decent payment, even if there was a great discount.

In other words, AMG models are quite difficult to hack.

What would make this a “good deal”?
What RV would make this good/decent?
What lease price would be good/great/reasonable?(Haven’t ever leased or considered it.)

MF was off by a zero

So what’s the MF?

In my mind, there will be no good deals on this model, since, as mentioned before, at the payment of $1,350, you have big options for models that lease a little friendlier. Think non-AMG MB, Panamera, loaded 540i, maybe M550.

It doesn’t matter what RV I think would be nice, it’s non-negotiable.

All you can do is hunt for a bigger discount, and add MSD to buy down the MF, which in this case will be over $10k.

I don’t see appeal in the E53 model. Straight 6 with electric motor and 62 mph i 4.3s - sounds terrible to be honest. Not to mention, these are better off financing or buying used

yeah but see the thing is, I wouldn’t mind dropping $1400-$1500 on an e63 and it’s almost supercar like numbers with 4 doors, with a proper tune/flash you are pushing close to 700 hp awd, 0-60 in high 2s low 3s aka high 10s quarter mile, twin turbo v8, etc. etc. The e53 is none of those at $ 1000+ and gets beat by v8 camaros and mustangs :face_with_raised_eyebrow::face_with_raised_eyebrow::face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Perhaps OP lives in a world of actual roads and doesn’t drag race frequently?
