Trying to work out a deal on a EQE and want to see how quickly it’s possible to get the Amex fleet discount if I apply for a card today. Is there a required period of time you need to hold an Amex to use the fleet discount? I know for Sams and Costco deals you need to be a member for 60 days.

As long as you have a Login on Americanexpress.com, that’s all you need to get it.
and claim it and hold it until Jan 4th (or when you need it)

They are identical. They both just qualify you for fleet.

It now shows a Jan 31 expiration. It’s up to $9.5k for EQS!
Yes I see that now. The certificate expires January 2025 but the incentives expire at the end of this month

You call the number listed and find out. Maybe your card isn’t a real Amex (Like a Macys Amex) OR maybe someone already generated a code on your card and it’s out of certs OR it’s just a bug in the software

I got that message too this morning. I just try to login again and got email of the code instead.
How closely is the code tied to one’s individual identity? e.g. could you use a family member’s code (with their permission, of course)?
I believe the owner of the code has to be in the same household, unless things have changed.
Anyone know how quickly you can generate the code for fleet once you add an authorized user on an existing amex account?
