Mercedes A35 quote

Hello all,
Just wondering if anyone has hacked or gotten a good deal on a 2020 Mercedes A35? I have been looking around and was talking to a dealer who told me that there are no discounts on AMG cars. Thru reading I found out the A 35 is not a true AMG. I asked the salesperson what a lease would look like on one and at 36m 12k. Drive offs only I received this quote

This is only a 50k car-$800 a month? Wow. Wasn’t sure if anyone got something different. Thanks in advance for any info on these.

Correct the 63 amg’s are the ones with the handbuilt engines which was Amg’s Moniker.

Mb in General does not lease very well compared to other manufacturers. Amg in particular has awful leases when compared to M.

At $700+/mo I would rather have an m4 or possibly m4 cs over an a35.

Have you driven this car? Any of the M cars? You should know they ride a lot rougher than standard luxury cars, you should definitely look around and try and test drive some if you can.

Shop different dealers. That dealer is not going to help you.

The A34 AMG is a mid-trim sub-compact luxury car, much in the same vein as the Audi S3 and the BMW M235i. Personally, I don’t think it’s a special car at all.

Shop around and get different quotes, this one is attrocious.

I would also check Edmunds forums MF, RV, and local incentives; and www.autobytel.com for more possible incentives.

Slight correction, the 35 and 43 AMG engines are the only AMG engines that are not handbuilt. Any other AMG engine is handbuilt (including the 53 moniker).

This may be true at this dealership but is a lie as a generality. Search in this forum and you will see many AMG deals with discounts.

I would look at the m240i maybe. It’s definitely leasing much better than that. Just hard to find non vert ones right now (looking for our second car but not finding many non verts and it’s a little more than I want to spend rn but much cheaper than your quote). Also not sure if 2021 is the update or if it’s not until 2022, I need to check that info. If 21 is updated and it leases similar to this year I’d definitely go m240i of the 3 germans.

All AMG engines - with the exception of the “35” M260 2.0 L Inline-4 Turbo and “43” M276 3.0 L V6 Bi-Turbo engine, as well as various other “43” and “53” models using the new M256 inline 6 engine - are hand built using a " one man, one engine " philosophy

63 engines are all hand built

From What I gathered 53 engines using the m256 aren’t handbuilt either, which was why many enthusiasts were not happy when amg announced the 43 and 53… also they weren’t v8s.

I did test drive it-was a comfortable and fun car. Just wanted input on if anyone hacked one. I am shopping around and currently have 2 Audis. My go to Audi dealer is trying to hose me for $900 a month on either a S4 or $800+ a month on an S3 and both have been on lot for over 200+ days. So I decided to shop around MB, BMW, and Audi. BMW wont budge on M@ or M$ for less than 1K a month here.

Using the search function, Someone here hacked an a35 for 53k sticker for $499 + tax with $3k due at signing.

Might want to consider expanding your search radius to include shipping, with covid many dealers are now more open to doing paperwork remotely than before.

Don’t do it.

I got a 2020 C43 with 4k signing at 599 plus tax. C43 is much better vehicle, with higher msrp.

Is it though? The digital dash in the A35 is nice.

The c43 has a digital dash. However not one long screen. C43 is a bit larger, more head room. Amazing sound!

I would also recommend a C43. I was able to get a new one back in May for $517/month with 12k/48m, $1500 DAS. $64k MSRP, $49k sale price. Even today, you can get one for around $630 with same terms as mine.

Thank you all for the info-still shopping around.

Pass

You can get into a C43 or M340xi for that much

That’s pretty rough, what region is this in?

$800/month for a 4 banger…AMG or not, it’s not worth it.

I got a fully loaded C43 72k MSRP with just drive offs for High 6’s back in July. The Performance exhaust is pure sex!
