By chance, did they tell you what the RV and MF were on this vehicle? I’m assuming first month;s payment and other drive offs are part of that $998 DAS? Maybe MSDs can help you get a lower payment. I know MBenz coupes don’t lease nearly as well as their sedan counterparts, but this surprises me, especially given the fact that this is a 2019 model. I’m not sure how much better you can do on a coupe. Are they including pre-paid maintenance?
For comparison, I’m working on a leftover 2018 coupe here in South FL, and the only discount I am being given is fleet. This is the only 2018 coupe within 500 miles of my zip code, and they want $3500 DAS/$620 a month for 39 mos/12K miles (he says he can get the manager down to 590 a month), MSRP $49K, sales price of about $46K. So, not even fully loaded lol.
SFL dealers man. They won’t budge because they know if you won’t overpay for the car, someone else will.
Yes this is normal in our area… people prefer paying more for cars than their houses. It’s a bit sad but like you said, sales know someone else will pay it.
The RV is 59% and MF is 0.00089
Pre-paid maintenance is mentioned. I am hoping to negotiate my monthly payment to $550. Tough luck on the SFL dealers!
Received a similar offer (not taking it!):
MSRP: $55,415
Sales Price: $48,815
Residual: $29,924
DAS: $868.50
Monthly: $665.93
Months: 36
Mileage: 12K
It looks very similar. Don’t know if it can get better than $600. I’ am hoping for around $550.
The dealer claimed to be offering “a very aggressive discount” as there was a stop sale due to a recall on the exact vehicle I was interested in.
