MB Lease Buyout From CarMax?

Hi Hackers,

Long Time Lurker, Recently got an offer from CARMAX for my parents 2020 GLC 300 lease for almost $12K over payoff. I wanted to know if MBFS has stopped lease buyouts to Third-Parties and Etc? Or can I go full steam ahead and get them out of this lease with the online quote?

MBFS is not permitting 3rd party buyouts or lease transfers.

Your options are:

  1. Buy it yourself and then sell to to whomever
  2. Sell it to a MB dealer, or someone with a relationship to an MB dealer.

I can buy out MB but won’t be doing what carmax is offering. If in nys, you’re waiting 2-3 months for title right now fyi.
