I was sent this “offer” from local dealership I previously signed my MAZDA cx9.
Now looking at Mazda CX90 PHEV Preferred but of course when I inquire they don’t have preferred in stock.
Anyone else get similar offers? They tried to bait and switch me to a premium sport which of course will be $100 or more per month.
I told them if this deal is true I will sign tomorrow, it’s basically $403 per month for 24 months, 120000 miles includes all taxes and fees rolled into monthly payments.
I leased a Mazda CX90 PHEV Prem Preferred a year ago. I did a onepay lease and it brought the interest rate down significantly. So the “payment” went from roughly $760/mo to $520/mo.
Maybe consider a onepay lease to bring down the rate and get an even lower payment
So that third paragraph does mention not including various fees , first paragraph discussses the details of the deal including discount and incentives.
If those other fees total around $1200 , now looking at around $3000 drive off and 343 per month.
We will see what other dealers say. This dealer sent me this offer and then tells me sorry don’t have the preferred PHEV in stock then quotes me different deal since car isn’t in stock.
He then said I can take their premium sport model which is around $6000 MSRP more for 545 drive off and $534 per month.
$534 isn’t so bad if its literally just $545 drive off without the cash down. Push to be around $480 and its workable. Are you actually over miles on your current lease per the ‘account status’?
Yah we are over by like 20,000 miles but if you read that statement in whole, it says to avoid any ADDITIONAL miles over. Trust me I saw that first and thought oh wow they will waive my excess miles.
Mazda sucks, they don’t offer any help with lease return and excess miles or wear it’s essentially two separate transactions. So who knows I’ll probably have a $3000 bill for miles… I do think they waive the disposition fee but need to confirm.
Well 540 or so offer is for higher trim with $6000 higher MSRP. So I’d think for $6000 less that should be a lot less monthly… I think three months ago they quoted me $487 for 24 month no drive off fees.
The difference between trims may affect the RV and MF in such a way that a high price model can still be close in terms of leasing costs. I think my CX90 was the mid tier trim which presented better numbers at the time vs the base trim. In any case, I HATED the car and dumped it after 1 year.
That sucks about your mileage. Perhaps a $99 mo EV Charger is a nice place to dump that negative equity lol
Most don’t. Especially with 20k over. Probably cheaper to pay the overage but make sure you get a couple quotes in case it cheaper to sell it vs return it.
One of the keys to hacking is to be very agnostic about where you’re getting the vehicle from. You have to know your target and make offers to least 10 dealers if you want to hack something.
So step one: post your calc showing what your target deal is.
I actually come on here, research what other deals have been worked and use that as my starting point when doing deals.
Unfortunately for Mazda, not a ton of lease info on here and info I see seems to be from brokers who seem to have higher pricing than I was quoted.
So I reached out to another dealer , showed them this deal, he pointed to added fees which I agreed on… so basically deal above would work out to $484 per month for 24 months,12k lease. Zero out of pocket. For a cx-90 PHEV Preferred with MSRP 51,400, they discounted it like $1200
New dealer quoted me $470 per month for same deal as above and they discounted the car $4500 plus the 8500 in rebates.
I think $470 per mo is a pretty nice deal (yes that includes all taxes fees etc rolled in, 24 payments of $470).
Question is, do I get greedy and wait for something even better? I do have Mazda cx-9 I just extended the lease on for three months though they said I can get out of that without paying the remaining two months.
I feel like June might have better deals but of course inventory will probably dwindle as well.
Mazda dealers just don’t have a lot of room for large discounts. So barring an improvement in the manufacturer’s programs it might not get much cheaper. Also if you’re driving that many miles you may want to consider if leasing is even your best option.
