Mazda CX-9 premium plus deal

Is this a good deal? The trade in is my current cx9 lease. I pay 408 a month on it and the new one is nicer. I know it is discouraged to put money down and I get that my effective payment is more. Best I could replicate in the calculator was 537 effective and 6.8 years. But in these times I question if I can do much better and I’m willing to use my equity as a down payment as I didn’t expect to have that equity on the lease in the first place. We tried a few other mfgs today and I laughed at most of them. This was a 1st pass deal from Mazda. They dropped tax and gave me a decent offer on my current trade in without me even asking. I think I can get another $1,000 on the trade in.

I didn’t ask what the accessories were but he said the only thing they add is tint.

So they rolling in a $5500 equity.
So your payment is really ~$550
It’s actually not that bad for the times but you are leasing a Mazda

I do laugh at the Warranty Forever…if true, then you might be buying that car out at the end.

Looks more like $5500

yah I typoed on my calculator, I fixed

We really like our current cx9 so I am ok with it being a Mazda.

The warranty forever is a dealership deal. I bought my truck from the same chain and had it. You have to check a lot of boxes. On a lease it is kind of funny though.

Yeah it’s 5500 equity but some of that is going towards taxes and fees. Once you figure that in it is about $3,500 towards actual cap cost.

If you have a Screen shot of that Warranty details, I’m interested in it.

Just to see how they can weasel out of paying for it. hehe

I don’t. But from what I remember on my truck you had to get service done there or call in and document every maintenance you have done or do yourself.

well if you buy it from there, please share that part of the documentation.

It doesn’t matter what it’s going to. It’s $5500 you’re spending.

True. I guess my point is even if I sell the car and pocket the equity I’m gonna have to spend some money upfront on fees and taxes. They cut the taxes down a good bit. Usually in Texas you pay 6.25% tax on MSRP. So looks like they cut that down to around 2.5%

I didn’t know Jay-Z was a leasehackr member!

you would never catch the Singer JayZ in a CX-9…lol

Why not buy it.

As for buying it. 22,500 financed over 60 months at 3.9% is 440/month and I have 5 years of it and maintenance starts to kick in more. I like my wife having a new car I don’t have to worry about.

If you decided to take the car, better to get an equity check from trade in, not putting it into the new lease.

CX-9s have good inventory some of the best in a tough market.

Don’t force a lease if buying is a viable option. Also 0.9% Mazda financing is available for purchse.
