that sounds fantastic. When I moved to FL I had to flag down a FL highway patrol officer to sign some VIN form the MA dealer sent me. The other times I went to a tag office myself as dealers were out of state. Great to hear that in-state dealers are easy to work with
Iām in NJ and had to request another set of temp plates from the dealer yesterday. .Itās been 30 daysā¦when I called in to the dealer the receptionist says that from her experience this happens if an insurance card is not provided at the time of the dealā¦this caught me by surprise as no-one from auto ninjas or the dealer requested the insurance card from me which of course I had available from the day the contract was signedā¦she went on to say that NJ will send back the application within 45 days if such error occurs. Anyways, for now I have a new temp tag and hoping for my official plates soon. I believe I paid for a service as part of the deal to register my car in NJ; apparently thatās what out of state dealers use. One would think that if someone charges you for a service like that they would have all their ducks in a row. Overall I had a pretty messy experience thus far.

Yeah, its called Beacon Title Agency, unfortunately sometimes they can be less than stellar, but we can always print another temps if thereās plate delays.
Can confirm Iāve had other dealers use beacon (MA dealer for NY registration) and it wasnāt amazing.
At this point though I wouldnāt be sure if the holdup is with the company or with the dealerā¦I wish there was a tracking system to monitor this. My friend had a similar issue with an out of state dealer in the past. Not sure which company they used but there was no way to track

how long does it usually take from when the car is shipped to when it arrives at the florida dealer? Tracker says about 30 days but seems oddly long?
Depends. What usually happens is itās sent via rail or via truck to the regions holding facility.
In Floridas case it is in Orlando. It then sits there until it is assigned a truck to be taken to the dealer. Again, dealer canāt speed it up or slow it down
I know itās out of your/dealerās hands, just looking to see what timing has been like for others.

Wonāt do that, itās not ethic. I understand them dealer changed their terms last minute I guess, I sent my built to place an order 10% msrp scat pack wb, they said dealer wonāt do that.
