I agree that Lucid just followed the Tesla modelā€¦ higher cost, higher margin product firstā€¦ then once they have volume, start producing lower cost units.

Rivian seems to be doing the same thing with their R2 platform.

Lucid finally revealed photos and details for its upcoming SUV.

Here are some of the specs:

  • 440+ mile range
  • Peak power at 800+ hp
  • Seating for up to 7 (3 rows)
  • 0 to 60 mph in under 3.5 sec
  • Charging at over 300kW
  • Pricing unknown (sub $80k?)

This turned out better than expected. With a starting price of just under $80k, its a great proposition for a lot of luxury electric barge buyers

I kind of dig the look of the Gravity. This is coming from a guy who drives a sedan. Iā€™m just going to have to wait and see it in person when it is finally released next year.
