I’m in Seattle and looking for a larger car, considering an MB E or BMW Series 5. I noticed that EVs is where the incentives are. It seems that Lucid has a better range, more power and a better leasing deal.
The current offer ends 8/31. My question: Will there be BETTER lease deals for luxury EV in the next 3-6 months? What I like about Lucid Finance is that seems to be what advertised, versus other advertised specials that are almost impossible to get… Not sure if manufacturers will continue with $7500 capital cost reduction for long…
Lucid Air Pure / Gray
Vehicle price $83,200
Destination fee $1,500
Documentation fee $75
Plug-in Electric Vehicle Savings -$7,500
Order deposit -$300
Down payment-$6,650
Net capital cost $70,325
Number of payments 36
Due at delivery $7,410
Est. monthly payment $760 Special Pricing and Lease Offers (lucidmotors.com)
This is also generally where you’ll find inflated MSRPs.
People in large numbers will pay $80,000 for a car and think they’ve won The Game of Life when they see the $7,500 incentive, but would pass on the same car if it was priced at $72,500 without any “free money.”
I ended up leveraging the Lucid deal at Mercedes Benz and ended up driving a new EQE 350+ 4MATIC.
Will share the details in the Signed! but paying $970 for 36 months including tire, windshield, appearance protection. 20’’ wheels, sunroof…$3K upfront.
Mark it up to $100k, give me a $27,500 incentive and calculate the residual based on a percentage decrease from $100k and I’ll be even happier. The EV incentives have an outsized impact on a lease compared to the impact they have on a straight purchase.
What are the odds you are going to do more than 3,600 in damage to your vehicle over the next 36 months? I’ve leased a ton of vehicles and none of that crap you bought would have saved me a dime to date (might have just jinxed myself!!). Cheaper to just self insure yourself imo.
The differences in monthly payments between the EQE and Lucid weren’t that far off.
I would have 1000000% gone with the Lucid.
EQE looks like an $87,000 Hyundai
I dont know what meecedes is doing with their EV styling ,but they are all absolutely hideous looking!
For 100k please give me something worth looking at.
Have you already signed on this deal? If not I would remove every single one of these items. They only serve to pad your dealers finance department.
Also check out the pre negotiated deals section to see what is possible. The EQE’s have some great offers in there and I actually used the pre negotiated deals for my wife’s EQS SUV. Really great experience and I would not hesitate to use it again.
They are actually the same cost if you go to similar options, and you receive all rebates. The Lucid will have more range, but I have a Mercedes Dealer 10 miles away versus a Lucid center 75 miles away… As for the aspect, lucid looks much better but primarily with the higher editions. I got a sunroof that is not an option unless I would go to the glass canopy at a significantly higher cost. I feel that Mercedes can also do a better job with all the software, at leaset is doing better than BMW…
