I’m negotiating a lease for a 2024 Chevy Blazer EV RS AWD. The vehicle is a courtesy unit/demo vehicle with a couple of thousand miles on it and qualifies for the CCR lease incentive for courtesy vehicles from GM Financial.
I’m getting lease numbers from the dealership that use a residual value of 65% instead of the 66% that the Leasehackr calculator’s rate finder is showing (which is also the number I got from the Edmunds forum for the 2024 Blazer EV RS AWD). I pushed back on their residual value and said that I thought it should be 66% and they said that it was lower because the car was a demo/courtesy unit. I haven’t seen this mentioned before in any of the research that I’ve done. Does anyone know if GM Financial does indeed mandate a lower residual value for courtesy vehicles? Thanks.
Yes. This is accurate. They account for the loaner miles by lowering the RV. I had the same issue when I was trying to calculate the lease with the LH calculator.
Well, I guess my initial research skills weren’t as good as I thought they were. I just found this topic on the forums that contains some very good information regarding the RV on a courtesy vehicle: How to get a 2024 Lyriq 2 in the $200's.
Yes. That’s the topic I started. I posted the contract I signed on Thursday. I love the car! Especially the $323/mo with $2206 drive off. Good luck. Equip and inform yourself with the knowledge on this site and you should do well.
