Looking to Lease or Finance 2023 BMW X5 vs 2024 BMW X5

Hello Hackers,

Just needed some advise on a current deal i am evaluating. Please share your thougths/inputs.

3 Vehicles to choose from:

  1. 2023 BMW X5 M50i Low Mileage (13, 250 miles) - This was the General Manager’s Vehicle earlier.
Original MSRP with all the options/packages was $95,595 and now selling for $79,271.00 . Now this is before negotiating with the dealer. What type of incentives can I ask them to stack and what would be a GOOD SELLING PRICE?

  2. 2024 BMW X5 Xdrive 40i - This will be a custom build and Build Code Link: https://www.bmwusa.com/build-your-own.html#/studio/f6856tvz/summary

Plan to negotiate with them, How much MSRP Discount Off can I max out get these month or should I wait till December to do the Build?
What other incentives can I stack on, I have Penfed, Costco, Amex, BMW CCA, not sure if there are others, please suggest.

The Vehicles are in DC and Maryland but I live in Manalapan, NJ. I have no issues driving to the area to secure these vehicles.

Appreciate your inputs. TY.

17% off… I’m betting that includes all available incentives. Do you have a breakdown?

The 2023 BMW X5 M50i is Exec/Demo Managers Vehicle. When you meant incentives, what did you mean?

Is the 2023 pre-refresh? I would not want to own a pre-refresh right now, the value is dropping fast. (MMR on that 23 is low 70’s). If you must own an X5, I would stick to leasing a 24, even if the lease is awful the TCO is known and it’s not effectively an outgoing design.

Are you asking me?

If yes

I doubt there are many (if any) additional incentives for #1 that aren’t already included in the selling price.

The 17% gap between MSRP and selling price is wide and deep, and I don’t think they’re having trouble selling X5s. Certainly not that much trouble.

Do you have a written breakdown from the dealer, or did you see this car advertised somewhere?

Without a breakdown, we’re just guessing.

Yes, it’s pre-refresh. If you have loyalty, @JessieM, the lease on the 2024 is much more palatable than it’s been in a while.
