Looking for hackers' guidance on getting the best SUV DEAL

I’d like to lease my first SUV by END of May in the DC/MD/VA area. The information in this forum is phenomenal and overwhelming at the same time so I’m looking for some guidance from fellow hackers.

I visited several dealers to check out SUVs in person and realized that I am indifferent about make, model, trim and options. What I care about the most is maximizing my economic return (or I suppose minimizing economic loss) by getting the best DEAL. So I don’t mind driving an X3, Highlander, Sorento or Trax as long as I get best bang for the buck and stay under $300/mo.

My criteria:

  • Body type: SUV
  • Monthly payments: < $300
  • Area: DC/MD/VA
  • Credit Score: 820+
  • MSD: can pay max

If you live in MD or VA, you are going to have to stay around 30K MSRP or less due to the tax. If you live in DC I don’t know what the tax situation there is.

Thanks for pointing that out. I live in MD unfortunately. Luckily there are a ton of options at or under 30K MSRP.

I am looking for an SUV as well, in the nj area. Looking to spend under $330 a month. Any suggestions??
