This post is mainly for any shoppers looking to do business in Florida. In my personal search I’ve found two dealers that have been the easiest, most pleasant, and responsive to work with. Working my own deal with them as well. Anybody who is in the market, willing, ready, and able to submit credit applications as well as deposit for orders may PM me for direct contact numbers. Respecting their time, efforts, as well as transparency and competitive upfront pricing PLEASE BE READY TO GO AND SOLD ON VEHICLE CHOSEN. Just wanted to make the process potentially easier for anybody as most dealers in the region when shopping multiple different cars were not even close in pricing and were frankly rude and not helpful.
Ive found same for FL dealers…SFL in particular unfortunately.
Some good folks in Ft Myers and at least one guy I respected greatly in Delray.
literally as soon as you show any indication that you’re a informed shopper they immediately become aggressive and rude. I’m a sales manager in another industry and they need to be all re-trained. Honestly horrible. They bottom feed off the very willing market in South Florida… even if I was going to pay more to work with a specific dealer they lost that business on the first phone call.
It also doesn’t help that the a big chunk of the market is several dealerships owned under the same umbrella, such as Lauderdale BMW and Vista BMW.
First recommendation would be to stay as far away from any Braman dealership as possible. Don’t even inquire… that bad.
Vista is almost as if not as bad at Braman except they were polite about their horrible pricing lol. Tried to give me the same pricing on a 2019 540i demo with 3k miles as I have for a M340i custom order… Ridiculous.
What about South Motors BMW? How are they like in negotiations. Going to get into a lease soon so just researching as much as possible.
My point exactly!! Braman has more than one location too. I think it’s 3 or 4 dealership families that have a monopoly on the market.
There’s a reason these car dealers in FL are so rich…Potamkin comes to mind. The owner had a house in Coral Gables that sold for $47.4 million, but it was originally listed for a lot more!
When I went into a Braman dealership about two weeks ago to test drive a vehicle, I couldn’t figure out why I was the only one on the sales floor. I then received their initial pricing three days later and realized why it was empty. I agree, stay away.
My biggest issue with Visa was the fact that the sales manager told me that he wouldn’t give me the written pricing due to the competitive market here in South Florida.
According to Norman Braman’s Forbes profile, his dealerships do more than $2 Billion in annual revenue.
It’s funny, because even though the doc fees are high, Florida (specifically South Florida) dealerships are some of the largest I’ve seen, as in huge garages and inventory. Of course part of this is because of land space, and dealerships up north were either built a long time ago before more inventory may have been necessary, or when the area wasn’t already built up.
I’m thinking of dealerships near Sawgrass, along 75, etc., in particular.
I’m thinking of huge dealerships here in Broward, for instance,
Same issue here in Central Florida. All dealerships that are close to Orlando are Fields BMW and they do not offer good discounts (at least this was my experience in 2016). I’m going to start looking for a new lease in October. Hopefully they 2019 X5s will be more affordable than they are today.
This is also my experience in 2019😩
I’m now really curious to look at the paperwork for my parents’ last car or two. I just might do it since I’m down here! They have the less famous cousin of the K900 - a Cadenza. For whatever reason, my dad likes the $40,000 Kias.
Autonation BMW in Delray is pushing some killer deals. Hundreds less than Vista. It’s like once you mention you got a better price from Autonation, the guys at Vista give up. They won’t match it. Also the Autonation has a lot of loaners which they discount $10k+ for a still new 2019 model with 2000-2500 miles on it
can’t be much worse than Vista currently lol they gotta be coming off a extremely good month or a terrible month. maybe they’re always terrible but I wouldn’t do business with them… M340i at port!!! we’re two weeks away ya’ll pics posted soon :)))
Interested to know this dealer because all of the dealerships in SFL were mentioned here already
I had the best Experience and lowest price quote from Delray as well.
would also like to add @AB26 is absolutely worth reaching out to. Prompt, aggressive pricing, easy to work with.
