I am not in the market now (paying off 2 Tacoma’s by the end of the year first), but planning ahead for next year. I understand that lease deals change, but would like a general idea for what I should be looking for.
I will be looking to either lease a sports car, or buy something like a Nissan Z or MX-5. If leases don’t make sense, I’ll be doing the latter.
Here are the types of sports cars I am looking for:
Porsche cayman/boxster/911
Jaguar F-type
Maserati Granturismo
Lotus
BMW M2
Supra
Or anything in the similar category as sports cars listed above which is a sporty 2 door coupe.
Looking for minimal down payment, 8-12k miles is fine and 12-48 month lease are all fine. I just want whatever will be under $1000 per month. Does anything even exist under $1k/mo or am I out of luck, in which case I’ll just finance a mx5 or Nissan z.
We don’t know what programs will be in September, forget 2026. We’re all waiting to see what incentives look like after EV tax credit ends. Too early to target any kind of deal on anything.
That said, Jan/Feb have historically had some good deals on convertibles and coupes. The Camaro deals from a couple years ago come to mind.
And you can always transfer a lease, colder months have in the past had more RWD/sporty transfers available.
Good question to ask 60-ish days out from when you plan to lease.
Lotus Emira i4 may be possible if you’re flexible on monthly payment. The advertised 36mo lease is $1100/mo with 10k down. However, i4 models are sitting on the lot - if you ask nicely maybe you can get a decent discount to erase some of that $10k down?
