Looking for a critical eye on this Audi Q8 e-tron lease deal

Hi all,

I’m going through the lease process for the first time (typically finance my cars) and stumbled upon this glorious forum while doing research.

I’m located in SoCal (LA area) and going through back and forth with the dealer on a 2024 Audi Q8 e-tron Premium Plus trim. I test drove in person last Friday and have been communicating via email as I’m out of town until 12/30.

Dealer gave me some initial numbers and would appreciate feedback on major watch-outs and/or the right questions to ask as a follow up.

Thanks in advance for the help!

  • MSRP $83,080

  • vehicle selling price $77,825

  • residual value 55%

  • money factor .00231

  • due at signing $5,000 (down payment)

  • monthly payment $776+tax ($854 all-in)

  • Based on 10,000 miles *

7,500 miles is approximately $15-$20 less

  • dealer also says “ the discount includes: AFS EV Bonus $7,500, Discount of $5,575, and National customer credit of $5,000”

Here is a close approximation of your calculator (with estimates on unknowns).

Discount is weak and don’t put $5k down (is that really $5k down or $5k DAS?) What is the term? 24m? 36m?

Contact one of the Audi dealers or brokers in SoCal.

5K DAS like 1500 down.

Yep, that’s why I asked him for clarification as he said “down payment” as well. Not even sure of the length of the lease.

36 months most likely look at that residual. Seems expensive.
OP: Good luck!

Yes, it does seem high with the $5k DAS as well.

Thanks for the quick responses @sharksfan15 & @DailyDriven - confirming it’s a 36 month term.

I’ve been having a difficult time getting the actual offer in writing, hence some of the unknowns (DAS vs down payment). They’ve been referring to it as “down payment” in our email correspondence, though not sure of actual DAS.

Not a surprise, but don’t do anything more until you can get it all in writing with every question answered.

I would also check with the dealers and brokers listed above to see if they can get you into Q8 as well.
