Looking for 2018 C 300 4Matic LOANER car

Agreed with everything you said there. The MB I was offered yesterday was coming with large discount and with their top tier credit offer, based on my past credit history and ownership of fully paid off MB lease in past. I had lower grade MB offered few days earlier (BASE model AWD with NOTHING but standard equipment) for $525 /mo, for 48 mo term ($525 DAS plus 47x $525), with numbers broken down to me, also showing aggressive discount in the selling price of a car and with top tier credit financing. I think if I get the right color combination of a car I saw yesterday at a price I was offered I will go for it.
Since I am not in a rush I will just wait until the end of this year or early next year. But I will get the car I want and I am confident I will get similarly great deal I was offered yesterday.

You keep saying this when it is WRONG. Go get a quote for a certified used MB from your dealer and let us know what the monthly is.

Why should I needlessly bother my dealer asking for a quote for a vehicle I know I am not going to lease?

But, for all practical purposes, you can go on autotrader or cars dot com and search for certified used cars with less than 48K miles. Those cars can be leased, and if you find a leaseable car for half of what the original MSRP was, you bet you will get lower payments than any loaner you can get, despite higher MF and lack of similar factory incentives as on a loaner. This is a leg work and home work for those who are looking for a loaner/used car or suggest loaners/used cars, not for me to search/find and post here. I am just saying that IF I was willing to consider a loaner, I would most likely go with Certified Used, resting assured that it had one owner (as opposed to fifty dozens of drivers from all walks of life). But I personally am NOT going to consider any loaner/used car, because I am NOT in market for it. Period.

Have you considered a loaner? They’re cars the dealer has used for service customers. Often they have only a couple thousand miles and you can save big money on the payment.

Just wanted to make sure you’d considered this option.

I am not telling you to lease a loaner or certified used, I am telling you that you are WRONG saying you can lease a certified used for less than a new one.

That is if it is not a CPO loaner, but we already know where we get with loaners

Ok, I am wrong, but I don’t care and will not search for a data to prove that I am right on it (even though I know that certified used cars have price tags much below what you can get a loaner for, and thus can be leased for even less, still, I am not interested in arguing this subject) . I will NOT consider loaner/used car for a lease. Period.

No, I haven’t. IF I was to consider a used car, I would consider Certified Used and not bother with loaners.

Said after arguing this very subject. After proudly proclaiming that data will not be considered.

Clearly a solid debater.

I don’t care about loaners/used cars. Wrong or right, I am not invested in a subject.

Dozens of posts into a subject

Just because the selling price is less doesn’t mean it will lease for less. You think a dealer can apply the same RV of new/loaner to that of a certified used?

Again, I’m not telling you lease a used CPO/loaner. I’m telling you to stop spreading false info regarding that matter.

No, I do not think so. But if that car had already depreciated 30 to 50 percent, then whatever it will further depreciate to will start from already low point, and it already being much cheaper and lower priced car, it can’t depreciate as rapidly and as much as it already had. Your MF will be higher, for sure, but not nearly as much higher as to negate the fact of much lesser depreciation you will be financing. I have posted 3 links to used car leases in this particular thread. You can scroll up, click and read.

With your keen insights and leasing acumen, you should consider opening a dealership. I’m sure customers will line up to be schooled by such a knowledgeable and pleasant professional as yourself.

You must have an agenda of some sorts to repeatedly come up with personal attacks while pushing the loaners to target audience, but whatever. I don’t care about loaners and won’t lease a used car. For those who are in a market for a USED car (such as a trashed loaner , etc.), read this and make the best decision you can. You might be better off leased a Certified Used car.

No wonder no one respects you. You state wrong info and don’t listen. Why don’t you read more?

You are the WRONG side here, who keeps insulting me just because I want to lease a NEW car and won’t consider Used/Loaner. I posted articles above, which disprove the dogma that all certified used cars lease for more due to higher MF factor and lower RV. Anything registered before is USED, so any car, with even 500 miles on it and manufactured 9 months ago, can be found out there and leased under the right circumstances, Possibilities are, almost literally, infinite. Those who want to lease a Used Car shoudl read the articles from Edmunds dot com and couple others I posted. I personally don’t care for used cars, but if someone is intersted they should make an informed decision and not go by what is pushed by agenda driven and bitter loaner salesmen here.

Quote from article posted above:

Pros of Used Car Leasing

Lower monthly payment: Just to recap this major point: The CPO vehicle has a lower selling price than its new car counterpart, and because of that, you avoid the steep new-car depreciation curve. These two elements combine to produce a lower monthly lease payment even with a higher money factor.

I think you should consider a loaner at this point.

I just did, and found that they are totally worthless. They are driven by hundreds of drivers, as opposed to Certified Used cars that may have just one owner in the past. It’s almost like marrying a divorced person versus a former high volume escort service person. If I was to consider used, I would definitely go for Certified Used and NEVER for a loaner.

Eric N, you are quite entertaining.
