merch is brand-building, not profit-generating!
If it’s sold at the loss. Can still sell at profits. The Brad has been build. So don’t have to sell at the loss.
I can see you’ve never sold merch.
I’d imagine the reason trophy garage stickers were one and done was because the bosses saw what order fulfillment was like.
Those $40 t-shirts that they sell at concerts seem to be making the artists money.
I bet these LR bags and jackets make even more. Didn’t even bother to ask about pricing.
I base this on few TikTok people I see who’ve grown their merch sale to the point of quitting their full time jobs without ads and THEN starting doing their comedy and other gigs.
Namely the GFC club😂
I bought one of the Porsche motorsport vests. Retail was about $300 and our internal dealer costs was not much lower than that. For Ferrari:
“The branded merchandise accounts for $1.5 – $2 billion in sales each year . That’s a significant contribution to Ferrari’s $4 – $5 billion in revenue each year.”
Merch is cool but if sold in larger quantities requires someone dedicated to place orders with the manufacturer, manage the inventory, print labels, bag the goods, ship stuff out. Gotta ask yourself if selling $5 stickers is a good way to generate money off this site.
That being said, if @michael and @littleviolette like staying up late and packaging merch, I’m in for some ![]()
Yes minting money. But the majority are sold physical retail at concerts and Taylor Swift is actually popular.
Would 100% sell out of @jeisensc potato shirts
I think @michael and @littleviolette should only make a Unicorn tee shirt, charge $100 over cost, and only sell them to verified unicorn deal-catchers.
Would depend, if it becomes like all the other car forums no, if it stays pretty much the same I wouldn’t go anywhere
IMO Red Ventures has handled their properties really really well.
Good ownership transitions do happen - definitely would stay w/the right shepard =)
