2024 Lexus RZ 450e PREMIUM

Is there something I should look out for or does this deal seem too good to be true ?
If this is a car for point A to B duties with home charging available, do it. If you want this for highway crusing and hunt for EA chargers, don’t do it.
Try to push them for the same payment on 27 mos if available in your region on a $62K car, not this stripped down Core. Better yet, see if you can find a 2023 unit (when they all were about 62K+) and steal it.
Seven? Only days ending in a “y”? Where did you get that?
Basically the car is limited to two low->80% DCFC fast charging sessions per day to protect the battery from overheating.
Also the DCFC charging curve is really bad, and limited to 150kWh in the first place. See this curve:
You’re only gonna get around 150kWh charging if you’re at or below 30% battery. And with this shitty range, especially in NJ winters (forums say 150-160 mile winter range), not exactly a compelling EV option unless it’s a second car/local driving.
There’s a reason why Lexus FS 3 year residual is 39%!
@9benua The Lexus reserve program is indeed available.
@Rqp5013 if you don’t need to go long distances, level two charging is more than enough.
@djrabbi I know, this was actually the very first car I wanted to try hacking, even before signing up for LH. If it wasn’t for EVs, I would probably not be on here and just buy Lexus for life. But EVs negate all the low-effort maintenance advantages of Toyota/Lexus.
Useless stats for a daily commuter! How often - if ever - do you need DCFC more than twice daily? This is clearly not a road trip vehicle… but Lexus gives you free ICE vehicle 3x over the life of the lease for those road trips, at least they did for 2023s.
And 39% RV is not exactly all that different from MBZ, Audi, etc real life values after 3 years. Difference being those brands don’t offer about 35% in lease cash but prop up RVs a bit more. Do we care when leasing?
Of course RV matters for leasing, higher RV = lower payments all other factors equal. It is extremely different from other luxury cars, 39% is atrocious.
And whether or not it’s a daily commuter, OP did not specify. Either way you can go on Lexus forums and see many owners were unaware and unhappy with range limitations, charging times/curve, especially if they have winter weather like OP does in NJ.
At $500/month there’s plenty of hackable luxury EVs which doesn’t have all these limitations.
You have a very peculiar way of presenting words and numbers - read twisting - to try to make your point:
claiming that fast charging is limited to whatever number of days per week (at least 7 days and 14 times/wk per your own explanation),
ignoring that OP already has an option for $402/mo calling it a $500/mo,
ignoring ~35% lease cash and completely fixating on the RV (yes, I know how to calculate lease pmts, have known for 30+ yrs) which in this case can get him ~$200/mo pmt in NJ if he finds a 2023 with a somewhat minimal discount on a 62K RZ. Even less with a good discount.

Plenty? Give us 14 as in your “limited” number from above, OK, 7 will do, one per day of the week. Gotta be current deals though. And try to stick with true luxury SUVs with AWD as OP can save even more on RZ300 while getting better range. Hint: Tesla Y, EQB, XC40, EV6, etc. aren’t luxury.
PS: Didn’t you say that you only hacked your first car months ago upon finding this? Just clarifying…
