Lexus RZ - Anyone have any first hand experience?

Did you get a below MSRP discount, because thats where most of the apprehension I think on the RZ currently is.

Ive seen LOTS of wives veto getting an EV even though the husband was excited to close a deal, its unfortunate

We looked at the Volvo’s but didn’t care for the interior. The Lexus was also miles ahead in comfort, ride quality and quietness.

We tend to hold on to our cars for awhile, so buying it out from the lease was a no brainer.

Yes. All the discounts reflect in the cap cost reduction. Unfortunately, the way the lease is structured, the rent portion ends up extremely high. If you buy it out immediately you can bypass that. Our buyout price was about equal to the cap cost reduction plus tax.

So true. Tried the Genesis with mine and got shot down. I thought it was better than the RZ in just about every way and i really like the RZ.

Checked local dealer and they had 0 in stock. Checked the high volume dealer in DFW we normally lease from and they only had 3 in stock. Either they didn’t receive many or they’re selling.

I finally got to test drive one at the Austin Electrify Expo and quite liked it. The ride quality is great for a non air suspension EV. The iX, i7, i4 of course had better ride quality but with $15K lease rebate and dealer discounts… low-$40Ks for a second car that’s solely for daily driving is a good deal.

I’d probably still recommend an iX or GV60 or Lyriq over the RZ but if the lease deal is better financially then there I’d be fine with the Lexus.

I watched a few Out of Spec Dave videos and noticed how the wife picked her cars based on how sexy they were. Cathy loved how the Cayenne looked and same with the GV60. She did end up trading back into a Y because of the CCS charging issues they had in Florida.

I saw one parked on the side of the freeway this afternoon. It was half way up a large hill. Not a good location to run out of power/break down.
