Let me help you get a lease!

Good on you for being an entrepreneur. There is risk in business, if you want to take it and think it is worth it that is up to you. Best of luck to you.

@Betterdeals you will come to notice quickly that most people aren’t serious and are going to waste you time because there’s no risk for them to make you look for a car. If you can build a little bit of a track record here for “free” by doing some leases publicly and build trust, i would suggest you take your $100 payment upfront before you spend all your time to weed out the freeloaders. Otherwise you’ll be running around getting quotes for 20 people and then 1 guy pays you. It wouldn’t be worth it for $100.

even if you get them a deal, they have a reasoning not to pay as you aren’t properly licensed/having a surety bond. So I’d suggest something upfront.

Honestly I would love to take payment upfront but I will take my risks. If anybody is as scummy as to not pay 100 then good luck to them in life.

Nevermind I don’t think you can actually take any payment according to the law, what am I even talking about. Sorry!

Why cant he? Its his time. Yes he cannot force people to pay him but if i have to pay him for me for doing the leg work, then i will. I am looking for 3 Grand Cherokees limited. If he can do .89 of MSRP with everything rolled in with just first month as drive off, i will pay him. I have loyalty and TDM of 1000 from jeep.

What im saying, is legally, he cannot accept any form of payment for more than three vehicles in any given year. (ny state, different laws apply in various states)

I’m not sure what the specific law states, but I’d be paying him $100 for his time doing research, not for getting me the car. I assume it’d be like paying someone 20 bucks an hour to research horses for horse racing or some other random research task.

Exactly what I do, by him receiving any sortof payment and assisting the purchase of a vehicle (doesn’t need to be buying it or doing any documents) he needs these papers. Refer to my screenshot above of the definition of an auto broker

Well, like any other job (landscaping, handyman, etc) I assume he’ll be taking some kind of risk by doing it under the table. At this point he doesn’t even have one customer, so what’s the point of even talking about 3 until that actually materializes.

Please… Read what @nyclife posted from NY state. It clearly spells out that ANY type of auto buying facilitation for money is regulated, at least in NY.

gotcha. Like I said in my last post. No sense in worrying about until he gets 3 customers. Personally, I couldn’t care less. I’d work with him based on the assumption that he’s doing everything legit. If he does the research and I bought a car based on that research, I’d pay him the 100 bucks and go on my merry way. Not sure why people here get so involved in worrying about how he’s running his business. It’s not your concern if he gets audited, fined or jailed for illegal business practices. As far as fairness to the forum, he’s taking 100% of the risk, so at least that side of things is all on the up and up.

EDIT: just to be clear, I’m absolutely not suggesting anyone on this or any other forum do anything illegal or unethical.

He’s not doing it for $300 per year, does he?

I have no beef with anybody at all but Nyclife you have been commenting on my service since I made it speaking negatively.
No clue why? I’m just looking for good deals for my fellow leasehackrs and in exchange they can pay me 100 as a friend ;).

Could clarify a little. I never have the customer sign a contract therefore they don’t have to pay me nor do I purchase the car so it doesn’t effect me. But like I said I would love if ya could donate 100 towards my child support.

I have posted the law, Idk why some people have to follow the law and others don’t. I have posted the definition of a lease broker according to the Law not google, and you fall under that definition. The law doesn’t require a written contract, the law requires for them not to pay you and by that, I mean you don’t receive a dime. So if you are doing this for charity, great! The second you get paid you are a broker, end of story. Hence, need to file a bunch of paperwork and having a huge bond. Just a question, why would someone pay you if what you’re doing is illegal and they can simply avoid paying you and have no consequences whatsoever? Whatever, if you feel as if you’re above the law keep going.

Let me guess you’re the same person who obeys the speed limit 24/7 on the clock without going 1-2 MPH over? An Auto broker purchases the vehicle for them only after they sign a contract for them to be their auto broker. I don’t want you to sign anything or owe me anything. If you wanna donate 100 to me for my child support then I shall accept that.

Edit: Now I see why you’re so adamant on bashing my thread. You’re a little “auto broker” 4-5 reviews since may 2 I probably charge less than what you do and could find even better deals. Thanks for showing me your concern for the “law”

No, an auto broker doesn’t purchase the vehicle, in no way does the law stipulate that an auto broker has to own the vehicle just “assist” or “effect” the sale.

Here you just admit you are wrong, in no way does this compare to speeding and you know at this point what you’re doing is illegal so just let’s leave it at that.

PS: I wouldn’t donate to a charity fund that doesn’t obey the law.

The law that I follow, costs 75k.

Did I admit to being wrong? I just wanted to quote what you said “I have posted the law, Idk why some people have to follow the law and others don’t. I have posted the definition of a lease broker according to the Law not google” Which was me asking you if you follow the speed limits at all times? First the Montana LLC in which I linked the supremes court decision on the ruling of a lousiana man with the same scenario. It isn’t illegal many exotic dealerships offer this service even some authorized lamborghini dealerships.
If you really want to talk about law I have no problem asking my family friend whose a lawyer. Even though this is ridiculous.

So im guessing if you ever had a friend do a deal for you that person is considered a auto broker :unamused: ?

If you paid 75k and only gotten 5 reviews on your facebook “Consulting excellence group” Good job for ya.
