Leasing Used Cars

Hello! Has anyone had any luck with using a 3rd party leasing company to lease a used car?

I am sure this topic has come up before but couldn’t find anything via search aside from Porsche CPO deals.

Whenever it’s come up the conclusion has been that it wasn’t a good deal.

Check out this thread, you could do a balloon loan and it could work out if the MRM is much higher than the price you’re buying the car for.

AFG also has hot sheets that could be helpful to find opportunities if you don’t care about which vehicle and want to narrow down.

The balloon loan is an interesting idea. I will take a look at that. Thank you for sending!

Thats because aside from Porsche cpo, it pretty much never makes sense to do so

I was spoke with D&M about it. Their residuals are very low and the numbers didn’t make sense.

If you deal with D & M you’ll need this.

Hahahaha. The sales guy was nice but their program can’t compete with the brokers on this site.

Doesn’t D&M have a horrible reputation here?

I wonder if D&M really is that bad…

They are terrible. The deals are so bad I’m surprised they are still in business.

have you considered just financing a used car instead? might be easier

I have sworn off buying. I like to get a new car every couple years and the “buying at retail, and trading in at wholesale” kills me every time. Not to mention what happens to resale if something messes up the carfax.

The best leases are almost always subsidized by the OEM to keep the metal coming out of the factory moving. OEMs don’t have an incentive to subsidize used cars.

That’s a funny way to spell “federal, state, and local juicy cash money for EVs”.
