$398/month (including taxes)
24 months 10k miles
~$1900 DAS (all registration and first month payment, acquisition fee)
Is this worth it? Ideally I would have loved a model y (2024, hate the new design) but I don’t want to commit to any car right now and I’m looking for a lease.
Another option would have been the EQB250/300 but I don’t know if I can find a similar price.
I had two leases with Tesla. My first was a great experience. It was so easy, seamless and I enjoyed the car. The second? The complete opposite. It was seamless, but to the point it was confusing. Tesla wasn’t clear about anything. The customer service in terms of dealership and communication went down dramatically. Then dealing with the finance team was a total disaster. I ended up trading it as soon as I could. This alone is my own experience but have heard similar from others.
Many think that Tesla, as direct to consumer brand, advertises and offers the best price up front. However, in reality, this is not true. If you understand how Tesla offers discounts and incentives, it’s possible to lower the TCO substantially. You should be researching the following-
Wait until end of term (quarter, year) for best base pricing & financing terms
Consider existing inventory for modest discount (~$1000)
Consider demo inventory for more significant discount ($1500 to $2000)
Referral or loyalty discount ($250 and/or free FSD or $1000)
Referrer account takeover ($2500 to $5000 discount)
Don’t just buy/lease a Tesla at the public advertised price.
One can take over an account that is preloaded with $2500 to $5000 in wallet credits, these credits can be applied to either reduce the purchase price (if financing) or making payments (if leasing). T&Cs non-withstanding… You can learn more on our discord - DennisCW | Tesla & EV Deals
