Helping a friend and her husband shop for a new lease. She’s from here but he’s from Australia - they just moved here about a year ago. She has credit here from before but he’s got just about a year’s worth of CC payments - all full and on time.
They make plenty of money to qualify - would they still be bumped from Tier 1 lease pricing?
They don’t both have to be on the lease. If she has a solid credit history, but he doesn’t, he doesn’t have to be part of the deal.
Went through that 2 years ago. Still, if he has about 1 year of CC payments and no faults he will likely already have a pretty decent credit score.
After 6 months both my wife and I were already in the low 700’s. After 1 year, around 750. Have him use CreditKarma to have an ideia of where he stands.
Not all brands have the same tier 1 score requirements, but BMW was 670 or 680. Your friend’s score should be considerably above that.
