Anyone have experience leasing and registering a car in Delaware? I live in MD, but my daughter is moving to DE and taking our leased BMW with her. The lease ends in April, so I don’t want to pay DE doc fee (4.25%) to register the car for a month. WE are looking to lease a new BMW before the move, but not sure we can register in DE before she gets settled.
If lease ends in a month I doubt you need to go through the hassle of getting new registration. Just keep driving and turn it in (if thats what you plan to do)

A month? Doubtful there will be an issue.
There’s a bigger issue about she driving the car and if she gets in an accident and will insurance pay for it.
