If I lease a car in CA now, but I am moving to VA in 2 months, will I be able to re-register to get VA plates? Is it possible with taxation? Or would I get double taxed?

The sales tax in California is on the monthly payment.
You would probably lose the registration fee, which is pretty high in California. You can re-register the car in VA.
Just wait until you get there. Rent if you have to.
I would probably try to ride it out the first year before I register in VA.
Just not sure how it works out with BMWFS- I currently have a big headache with them and the CA DMV after buying out my lease.

You can’t “ride out”. You must register and pay sales tax in VA within 30 days. And then PPT too. Just lease in VA.
