Leasing a BMW X5 xDrive40e iPerformance

Hey was wondering what dealership you went threw? Have just a hard time getting a deal for a x5’

I took the car home today. Here is the final deal.
MSRP 71,970
Cap Cost 59,615
Monthly Payment 649.95 Inc tax
Discounts used -BMW 5,000 lease credit BMW Corp Fleet discount 1500 plus .0002 MF reduction (same as AARP)

Drive off 2500 which included 1st month payment , acq fee , dmv fees, and taxes.

MSD 4550 to reduce MF to 00077 ( I locked in April MF with credit app in April)
The deal was done at Bobsmith BMW in Calabasas. Ask for Oscar Garcia.

Congrats and enjoy! Sweet ride

Your car is 1k more than mine so it’s a similar deal. I have to say the car is a lot bigger than my last X3 and more tech. It’s going to take some time to get used too.

I guess, but you def shot the lights out there…

Think about it - there’s people out there driving x3 35i at that kind of money.

There must be at least 7 or so active members who’ve picked up this deal. I wonder how many lurkers…

So, when BMW X5 deal is 0.9% - it’s a “lights out” deal. When you can get a Volvo S90 for 0.80-0.85% without MSD - it’s a “meh, will wait for $399/mo” deal. Not even touching $70K G90 for $650/mo. Go figure

Not comparing SUV to sedans here, just deals.

It’s about product product product. Quoting a marketing manager somewhere.

Perception, yes. But again - comparing deals based on 1% “rule”

You know better…that’s all that matters. Too many people on here have hugely unrealistic expectations and some kind of mental barrier to anything over $400/Mth being automatically a crap deal. The ones you referred to ARE good deals.

For me it’s about every deal in isolation, and merits based on its specific parameters.

For this specific instance - BMW are making it essentially impossible to beat the 1% rule (if not impossible, then extremely fecking difficult) - aside from anomalies like huge govt rebates on i3s or perhaps very base model 3 series.

If we cross shop the market sector - Similarly equipped premium/luxury SAVs like the XC90s, Q7s, RR Sports, MBZ etc are nowhere near this deal, so yeah it is “lights out” in the current market and foreseeable future. It was better for this specific model of X5 40e last august as someone on here pointed out- but that’s not going to happen at BMW any time soon

But you know this all already…

August 2016 = Lights out?

Yup that’s the one! 20 chars

Found a dealer I felt comfortable with and picked up a 2017 X5 eDrive last night.
Sticker was $75k.
$3k down (almost $2k of was first payment, sales tax, registration fees, etc etc, rest was dealer padding)
36 months
15k miles per year
$760 (approx) without taxes, $815 with taxes so close to the magic one percent rule.

I feel ok about this one. Other deal was bottomed out at $940 with the same terms. Considering MSD’s are gone now and the MF going way up, I think we got a very fair deal for a $75k truck that had 4 miles on it. There was an additional USAA discount applied as well, but that all went into the back end somewhere…

The eDrive is pretty cool. It’s like driving a giant golf cart.

So did I do ok considering the current leasing climate?

We need to know the sales price and MF you got to fully evaluate the deal, but it doesn’t sound like a good deal, especially since there was some CCR.

I think it is still high. You must be located in the Midwest or East Coast to get the AARP. They killed that in the West Coast which drove me to shop Mercedes (FYI-- You can get a killer deal on a GLE 350 4 matic) . I circled back to X5 on a fluke because at the last minute the dealer figured out I qualified for a fleet discount. I think you can get 10 percent of sticker before incentives without much negotiation. Then add to the deal the 5000 lease cash on the car and the 1500 AARP . Also remember AARP drops your money factor to .00148. Good Luck.

The adjusted capital cost of the $75k MSRP was $62,900. So around $13k or 17%ish off. Don’t remember what the MF was. It was more or less what all the BMW’s were quoting for May, wasn’t impressive either way.

I didn’t steal it for $650 like some of the folks did on here, but I’m also at 15k miles per year while those were at 12k, and MSD’s aren’t permitted now so we couldn’t get the MF down.

BTW, can that charging block, or whatever it’s called, be left outside? We don’t have a garage. Curious if it’s weather resistant or not.

Still figuring this truck out.

7.4 leasehackr score. It’s not a huge rip off, stinks they pulled MSDs, especially a month before I was in the market for a new ride. Good luck with it man!

It looks water resistant. I’m still figuring out how things work on it too. Good luck with it!

What’s the killer deal on the GLE 4Matic?

640 a month includes tax. Zero down just drive off. 68K sticker
