Now is not the best time to buy or lease; however, I am considering obtaining a custom built BMW i4 M50. My local dealer said they have allocation to order and will do so at MSRP without any add ons or markups. What is the temperature of the market for this vehicle at the moment? Do you feel that a discount is possible, or is the fact I can do a custom order at sticker good for this market? Also, assume I would need to finance/buy to get the $7500 EV Government cash and would forego it if I leased?
BMW probably won’t pass the 7500, may be a buy instead of a lease. Can’t imagine there will be any incentives. Also it’s a 4 series so RV will probably be bad.
I have a feeling this car will be one that someone is going to need to reeeeeallly want in order to pursue it.
Honestly, in this market, any luxury EV is probably not a bad buy at MSRP.
Don’t lease it.

Noted…and thanks. Do you think MSRP is reasonable in this market or what would u target as a % off?
If they’re doing straight list no markup and have an actually buildable allocation open (production number immediately assigned), I would say it’s fair at the moment.
I would do select finance or owners choice if available.
