Last weekend I went to my local NYC BMW dealership to inquire about an X3. I researched the market and knew it was possible to get 11.5 percent off MSRP. I know I broke the golden rule, by going in person rather than negotiating over email. The dealer insisted that presence was power, so i made my way over there. You probably don’t remember this but you coached me when I was an LH newbie before I walked into an Infiniti dealer to work out a deal on a Q60 RS. I got the deal and the rest is history but I can relate to OP, even if he is trolling, to the sense of empowerment you get from negotiating from a place of knowledge. edit - I will add, I do think the brokers here are a HUGE source in empowering people to understand what is possible.
