Leased a new Mercedes but seems like it was a demo

Hello,

I recently leased a new GLB from a Mercedes dealer in Texas. Nice car, pretty good deal (i.e. tax credit, low money down, under $500 a month). In going through the paperwork, I missed the part regarding current mileage, turns out it had 1,284 miles on it. Test drove the car but didn’t see milegage because new screen has a million gauges.

I figure it was a demo car but was marked as new on the paperwork. I’m just wondering if this is something I should be concerned about? Dealer should have disclosed. But otherwise, does it really matter? Should I be concerned?

Thanks for your advice.

Nothing to be concerned about, really. Other than you could have negotiated higher discount since it’s a demo/loaner.

Depends on the state, in Colorado anything under 1500 is still considered “new”.

Great, thank you.

What @joeblogs stated. If the car wasn’t RDR’d then it is a new car, albeit with some miles.

Nothing to be concerned about as long as stated mileage was correct on the contract.

It just had 1,284 Farts no biggie.
