I’m posting this for my girlfriend who originally leased the car from Newport Beach Audi in November 2017 on a 36 month lease at 10k/year. She took a job in San Diego and now walks to work so she doesn’t need the car. Has 11,776 miles as of last week always garaged. She ended up paying $3199 DAS. As of this writing there are 21 payments remaining and the last one is in October 2020. This gives you about 18,000mi for the remainder of the lease. Also purchased the Audi lease return damage waiver package that gives you an extra 500 miles and money toward any additional damages @ lease return (still looking for details on that-will edit when I find out more).

Audi holds the original lessee responsible even if the car is transferred, just an FYI!

Forgot to add-- May be a deal breaker but whoever is approved by audi financial and takes over the lease would have to sign a promissory note in the event there is an issue with the lease return.

Good luck with the sale. This is just not true though, ‘rarely driven’, she is right at her mileage limit.

Maybe she did it all in 2 really long road trips and has only driven the car twice.

I don’t really know Audi leases (I have never considered them since they lease so poorly) but I imagine she’ll have a better time getting rid of this without asking someone to pay $1,000 toward her negative equity on the A3.
