I went through this a few years ago when I was looking to swap out my X5 50i. From the research I did on why BMW kept declining peoples credit applications that wanted to assume my lease was the BMWFS would only approve someone who has a credit score higher then the original lessee, at the time I applied for the lease I was like 830fico so most people were lower and getting declined
