Year, Make, Model, and Trim: 2023 Tesla Model X Long Range with Autopilot Hardware 4 and FSD Beta Capability (via subscription)
Location: Austin, TX Area
Seeing as your lease started in May, you kind of got screwed by Elon cutting model x prices. Ultra red don’t even cost any extra on a new model x anymore.
Given the current market conditions on model x, you will either need to pay someone to take over the lease, or try to have a 3rd party buy out and downgrade to a cheaper car. You are going to lose big money either ways though.
This appears to be a 15K mile a month lease and you have used 11K miles since May? I don’t think your effective miles remaining is correct. Does your payment include the FSD beta subscription or are you paying for that on top of this payment? Are you sure your not including your tax in the payment?
Yes the payment includes the tax I’m currently paying monthly in the payment so the payment may vary if the vehicle is going to be re-registered outside Texas.
The remaining miles should be 45,000 - 11,004 = 33,996 miles.
And, no the monthly payment does not include FSD Beta; I was getting that via the subscription separate from the monthly lease which I have since canceled but the next owner is able to get it back.
And, yes I believe the monthly payment includes the tax I am paying monthly to Tesla.
I would have done the trade-in option but Elon Musk eliminated lease buyouts so no dealership can take it and roll the negative equity into a new loan on a cheaper vehicle.
If it helps I can do a $2,500 incentive for someone to take over this lease?
Also, the vehicle includes Tesla rubber floor mats, cargo liner, Tesla CCS/SAE to NACS adapter for non-Tesla fast chargers plus a mobile charger with adapters for various different 240V outlets found in homes!
Put it on Turo and let it pay for itself… ya only need $55/day and that’s easy to get for this car just to offset some of the burden, sure it is in violation probably of the lease agreement-but TESLA is on a NEED to know BASIS, so screw 'em for screwing you on pricing drops
