Vehicle condition: Meticulous. Only a few weeks old. Windows are tinted in 20% ceramic all around. 10k/36 month lease, 35 months left. Taking a huge loss on this due to a significant life change. Asking for $1500 DAS to recoup some of my loss. (I’m losing $5500 in total). Fantastic deal for someone. Willing to meet in person in the NYC area if you want to see the car in person. I got the car from a broker here, so the pictures are edited to remove dealer advertising as a courtesy.
Have you successfully transferred a Mazda? I’m aware they’re under the TFS umbrella, i tried several times and every Mazda FS rep told me they stopped doing lease transfers
I haven’t done one myself, but even the Mazda dealer confirmed MFS allows lease transfers. There’s also plenty of Mazda listings on Swapalease, and it confirms “your lender allows lease transfers”. The difference is from what I understand leases that were issued prior to 2020, where it’s not under the TFS umbrella, and it’s Mazda American Credit or something.
I went to my local Mazda dealer yesterday to get the car appraised, the sales manager didn’t want me to take a bigger loss and told me to try to transfer the lease instead and that MFS/TFS allows it now. Gonna call tomorrow when they open and get confirmation.
I just got off the phone with a resolution specialist from Mazda Financial Services. This information is false. A lease transfer is not possible at this time, only a dealership buyout or purchase by an interested party.
I spoke to two different reps yesterday and got two different answers. Spoke to the GSM at the dealership who appraised my car and he told me he’s helped one of his customers transfer a lease personally through MFS a few months ago. The conflicting information is ridiculous.
Either way, the car is no longer available. It’s getting sold to a 3rd party online buyer.
