I have an 2015 Outback…my first Subaru. It’s got a 2.5 engine which is underpowered, but gets you there…fact is, in a city like LA, power really doesn’t do you much good. In fact, having none tends you make you’re drives more pleasant because you can’t drive aggressively!
My wife likes them because of the safety tech…fact is, to get those features in most cars you have to get the top trim. I think the Outback has replaced the old Volvo wagon for many.
I’m getting another one in two weeks when my Ford Edge (which drives great, but leases terribly now) matures…probably a Forester or another Outback (3.6)…either one will lease less at 1% with zero drive off, including taxes.
It’s a boring car, that gives me not much pleasure to drive…much like my marriage!
